Introduction
The audio path for the Queen Bee is designed to give you maximum flexibility while maintaining an excellent audio quality. It is designed to achieve complicated results in a way that is logical and simple to operate.
Connection
The Queen Bee can be connected straight to your guitar and amp or it can be put right in your pedal chain. The PCB is designed for two sizes of 1/4 phono jacks, and accepts either mono or stereo jacks (it only makes use of the mono connections).
A signal test loop allows you to easily connect a signal generator into the audio path.
An audio test loop is provided to help you troubleshoot circuits.
Selectable Bypass Capacitors Onboard
Input and Output bypass capacitors can be socketed for easy experimentation and the Queen Bee accepts a huge variety of capacitor choices. You pick your favorite type and size. It likely fits. The bypass caps are hooked to a slide switch, which allows them to be bypassed if you favor adding your caps to your circuit.
Features Available On Every Stage
Input impedance adjustment from 0 to 2M (with test pads for you to measure added input impedance once your design is the way you want it)
Single Effect Stage Bypass (bypasses only the individual effect selected
Post EFX Return (bypasses all effects after the current one)
Test hook on the effect out (used to copy the signal for later use, such as to blend the signal a few stages down. Example, dry signal blending into a wet chorus)
Additional Audio Features
Volume knob on the output- great for protecting your ears and speakers while setting up amplification stages.
Header connector that gives you flexibility to use audio and power signals as you see fit.
Expansion header- can be used to expand the number of EFX stages you can design individually.
